Garden Bollard Lighting & Spacing Guidance

When planning a landscape layout, bollard placement depends on both post height and intended illumination level. As a practical guideline, space bollard lights roughly 2 to 3 metres (6 to 10 feet) apart along walkways and driveways to maintain continuous floor visibility without glare overlap. Lower bollards (300mm–600mm) are ideal for subtle pathway borders and lawn edges, whereas taller bollard posts (800mm–1200mm+) provide broader light distribution for driveways, entry gates and hotel grounds.
