A dramatic cascade of hundreds of hand-finished glass butterflies takes flight across this custom chandelier, each wing catching ambient light in flashes of teal, sapphire, copper and rose-gold. Suspended from a discreet circular ceiling canopy on nearly invisible wires, the swarm gathers densely near the ceiling and tapers gracefully to a single trailing point below — an ever-shimmering centrepiece built for double-height lobbies, grand staircases and statement living spaces.

Each butterfly is individually wired at its own drop height, so the overall silhouette can be sculpted into a loose spiral, a tight column or a wide fan depending on the space it fills. The faceted, dichroic-finished wings shift colour as viewing angle and ambient light change, giving the piece a sense of movement even at rest, while integrated downlights in the ceiling canopy add a soft ambient wash without competing with the chandelier's own sparkle.

Technical / Design Highlights

  • Design Style: Contemporary sculptural swarm/cluster, nature-inspired
  • Finish: Iridescent, dichroic-coated glass
  • Material: Faceted glass butterfly elements on fine stainless steel suspension wires, matte-finish metal ceiling canopy
  • Light Source: Integrated LED downlights within the ceiling canopy
  • Illumination: Soft ambient wash from the canopy, with the glass butterflies catching and scattering light in shifting colour
  • Ideal For: Double-height lobbies, grand staircases, hotel atriums, statement living and dining spaces
  • Installation: Ceiling-suspended from a circular canopy; drop height and swarm density adjustable to site
  • Customisation: Available in custom sizes, drop heights, butterfly counts and colour finishes to match your space
