Wall Wash Aluminium Profile For Strips

Wall Wash Aluminium Profile for LED Strips

A wall wash aluminium profile is shaped with an angled or asymmetric lens so the LED strip's light is thrown sideways across a wall rather than straight down — used to evenly wash a feature wall, stone cladding or artwork wall with light rather than creating hotspots. It's a common request in living rooms and hotel lobbies.

Getting a wash to look even, without visible bright-and-dark banding, comes down to how far the profile sits from the wall and how it's angled — something worth planning with your electrician or designer before the ceiling work is finalised.

Types & finishes

• Asymmetric wall-wash profiles that direct light across the wall surface at an angle
• Lens-fitted wall-wash profiles for a more controlled, even spread
• Recessed asymmetric cove profiles for a wall-wash effect built into a ceiling cove
• Half-round and corner-cove variants where the wash needs to start right at the wall-ceiling junction

How to choose

• Distance from the profile to the wall changes how even the light looks — too close and you get scalloping, a wave-like bright-and-dark pattern
• Match the lens angle to how far down the wall you want lit
• Choose recessed if the wash should start from a ceiling cove, or surface if it's a visible mounted line
• Test on a sample wall section where possible before committing to a full room run
