Glass Pencil Chandelier – Entrance Passage, Private Residence, Delhi

We made this glass pencil chandelier for the entrance passage of a private residence in Delhi in 2023. It sits close to the ceiling inside a recessed panel, with clear glass rods falling in a soft, stepped pyramid along the passage.

Project overview

• Location: Delhi
• Space: entrance passage in a private residence
• Year: 2023
• Scope: a glass pencil chandelier and a stone glass pyramid chandelier for the same home

The design

• Glass pencil cascade: clear borosilicate glass pencils of different lengths hang from a gold-finish base. The cluster forms a soft, stepped pyramid, and the rods sparkle along the passage when lit.
• Stone glass pyramid: for the same home we made a second chandelier for the dining area.

Execution highlights

• Ceiling placement: the chandelier is fixed close to the ceiling inside a recessed ceiling panel.
• Lighting: dimmable LED lamps light the glass and work with the home's lighting automation, so the owners can set the brightness. The photos and videos are our own, taken on site after installation.
