Smoky fume glass and chrome make Vortex a darker, cooler interpretation of modern crystal lighting. Seven sculpted arms create movement around its four lights, with Bohemia crystal curves filling a body about 66 cm high and equally wide. The balanced proportions give the curls a distinct, contained outline.
A tall lounge or entrance with pale walls would show the smoky glass clearly. Four G9 lamps serve the chandelier, whose full hanging length is listed as 216 cm.
Imported from Europe
This light is imported into India from Europe. Iris Cristal is based in Redován, Alicante, Spain, and has a 40-year heritage. Its roots are in the crystal-making tradition of Old Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, going back to the 18th century. The maker uses centuries-old techniques of hand-drawing and hand-cutting crystal.
