Obsidian Sunburst Glass Chandelier – A Sculptural Statement for Double-Height Living Rooms

This sculptural chandelier is designed as a striking wall-facing art piece inspired by ceremonial mask and tribal-art forms, built for double-height living rooms, feature entrance walls and statement lobbies where a dramatic vertical accent is wanted. Symmetrical from crown to base, it reads more like a hanging sculpture than a conventional light fixture, and every piece is custom-crafted to order.

The frame is finished in a dark gunmetal-black metal, built up in a tall, face-like symmetry: slender branch arms carry exposed opal-glass globe bulbs on either side, a fan-shaped sunburst medallion of iridescent black glass spikes sits at the crown, and a pair of sweeping ivory-white glass horns curve outward beneath it. A horizontal band of elongated black glass ovals forms the widest point of the piece, centred on a larger warm-toned glass globe, while a lower cluster of ivory glass drops, iridescent glass spikes and a fringe of small dark glass beads tapers the silhouette to a point.

Every glass element on a piece like this — the ovals, the horn-shaped drops, the spiked sunburst petals, the globe bulbs — is individually hand-blown by Indian glass artisans, gathered molten from the furnace and shaped by hand while still hot. That process means no two pieces are ever perfectly identical, and because the glass is blown rather than moulded, colours, opacity and finish can all be customized to suit your interior palette.
